Game park near Durban, South Africa

This photograph was taken in the late afternoon as the sun was setting. The location is a game park in a rural location outside of Durban, South Africa. After attending a conference in Durban I had a few days to wait until I could board a connecting flight home via Australia so I visited this game park. I spent two days on foot wandering among the park’s many inhabitants which included antelope, buffalo and giraffe. It was magical to experience. The park is located in a valley and contains a walkway leading from one end to the other. In the day’s warmth, shorts and a tee shirt were all the clothing required, however, as the sun began to set in the late afternoon, the temperature dropped quickly and I resorted to woollen hat and jacket to keep me warm.
